Russia’s RUSAL buys Pikalevsky alumina plant for $71 mln
MOSCOW, Mar 18 (PRIME) -- Russian aluminum giant UC RUSAL has acquired the Pikalevsky Glinozyomny Zavod (Pikalevsky alumina plant) for U.S. $71 million, as seen by PRIME on Thursday in the materials of RUSAL.
RUSAL’s financial report for 2020 said that the company acquired control over 99.9% in the plant for $71 million in September 2020. The fair cost of the plant’s net assets amounted to $24 million, including $21 million of fixed assets.
Kommersant business daily reported that RUSAL bought the plant from former CEO of fertilizer producer PhosAgro Maxim Volkov.
